What is the Bible Workshop Weekend?
Bible Workshop Weekend (BWW) is a weekend in early March when young people (middle school-25 years old) gather for intense Bible study. Friday evening we have a singing for all ages followed by a short lesson from our featured speaker (7-8:30 pm). On Saturday we have singing, prayer, and Bible study in several sessions from 9:30 am-4 pm.
What makes the BWW unique?
The workshop features classes divided by age and gender. Young people will learn from different teachers throughout the day in several settings. We develop a theme and have all the teachers work toward presenting ideas on the theme to their age group. Our featured speaker also presents two sermons to the entire group on Saturday.
What are the sessions like?
The sessions take place in different classrooms in the Fairview building. Biblical instruction is given along with various activities to aid in learning and engage the students. The first session (10-11 am) will divide all the young people by age into various classes and the second session (1:15-3 pm) will divide them by age and gender into several different classes.
What about lodging?
The Christians at Fairview are happy to provide a place to stay for all workshop participants. Usually these determinations are made on Friday night so that we can have an accurate sense of how many young people need lodging. You can help this process by indicating your need for lodging when registering for the workshop.
Do I need to register? How do I register?
Yes, you need to register online for the workshop. There is no fee for the workshop. Registration ensures that we have space, material, food, and lodging for each participant. The main BWW page will have a link to registration when it is open.
